My work experience

I had the opportunity to try working at Scandinavian Air Ambulance. I got to see what its like to work as a pilot and a flight nurse. My mom works as a flight nurse and asked me if I wanted to follow her to work this week, and I thought it sounded interesting and fun to see what she does while I’m in school.

I thought my we- place was interesting. My mother showed me all the equipment she uses as a flight nurse, and I got to follow her on flights, like to Gällivare, Umeå, and Kiruna. 

I can see myself working as a pilot, but not as a nurse. I want a job that I can feel free, and I think you do that as a pilot, because when we where in the air, the pilots just sat there and drank coffee and watched the view. As a nurse, you have a lot of pressure on your shoulders, and I don’t want a job like that. But overall I really liked the concept working at Scandinavian Air Ambulance.  I liked that sometimes when they didn’t have any flights planned they could just stay at home. I had a very good time at my we-place.
